How to become a Successful Entrepreneur – Entrepreneurial Journey

An interactive session on “How to become a Successful Entrepreneur – Entrepreneurial Journey” was hosted by CIIED on 01 October 2015 at 2:34 PM in the college auditorium of BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.

The session was conducted with Mr. Phanindra Sama, Founder of; Mr. Jaswinder Singh Chadha, President & CEO of Axtria; and Dr. Nayana Somaratna, Co-founder at Medical Joyworks; facilitated by Dr. R. N. Saha, Director at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus. The talk was attended by students of all disciplines.

The session started with Dr. Saha’s motivational words to all attendees. He then invited each speaker personally to share their journey.

Mr. Phanindra Sama began by telling his college-life where he got the idea for the system/website to book busses from his college to his home-town. He, then, went on to explain how difficult was it for him to find investments or contributors, or how the entrepreneurial journey changed him.

Followed with, Mr. Jaswinder Singh Chadha, who told how he changed his field of work completely when he got a job opportunity in Data Analysis. Mr. Singh was motivating in his own way where he discussed how one can do anything if one set his/her mind to it.

At the last was, Dr. Nayana Somaratna, a boy genius who won Inter-national Olympiad. He co-founded Paradox software, an outsourcing firm specialized in creating web and mobile applications. His company, Medical Joyworks’, first app, “Prognosis” helps doctors and patients to interact better. He then told what difficulties he faced and how many doors he knocked to receive funding and how many times he got rejected, or played with. Alas! finding his calling and getting the product in the market.

This was followed by an open question answer interaction with the speaker. They patiently answered questions thrown out to him by the budding entrepreneurs. The Vote of Thanks was delivered to fine gentlemen. Dr. Saha concluded the session with some words of gratitude for the speaker. The students greatly benefited from this session.
